Best Practices in Pre-K: A Training for Cultural Organizations

Join the Greater Philadelphia Cultural Alliance and educators from Settlement Music School and Please Touch Museum for a half-day learning program on how arts and culture organizations can develop arts education programs for Pre-K audiences.

In this half-day session, you’ll learn best practices in Pre-K education and arts integration from the Kaleidoscope Preschool Arts Enrichment Program at Settlement Music School, a nationally recognized preschool that features an innovative arts-integrated curriculum. Please Touch Museum will also share their approach to Pre-K education in a museum setting and the interdisciplinary and process-based methods used in its new Creative Arts Studio.

This learning program will center around three interactive workshops that demonstrate how one concept (patterns) can be taught through various art forms (creative movement, visual arts and music). All attendees will actively participate in these hands-on activities to truly get a sense of how young children experience arts-integrated learning.
