Woodstock Tribute: A Musical Mash Up

Presented by South Philly Jam: 

Peace. love and the musical magic returns as a fun Woodstock Tribute at Riverside Hall, Old Swedes Church, Queen Village, on Saturday August 24th. The South Philly Jam will pay musical tribute to the 50th year anniversary of the Woodstock Music Festival as a neighborhood gathering.

Adult beverages will be served for a charge.

This will be a unique musical event, unlike a typical band performance and more like an urban campfire, a true community celebration of Woodstock. Register here on eventbrite and join your neighbors and friends to play and sing together in a musical mash-up.

All are welcome, no musical skills needed. If you have musical skills, bring a guitar, ukulele or mandolin or your singing voice and connect with community neighbors of all ages, backgrounds and musical abilities through singing, playing and sharing stories – transcending our differences as a community.

A Woodstock song book will be available at the tribute. Song lyrics from CCR, Janis Joplin, The Who, Joan Baez, Jimi Hendrix and others at the tribute tables.

Help Philly kids. Philadelphia based Musicopia will be on site to collect retired musical instruments for donation to Philadelphia school children. Bring that old guitar or other instruments for a good cause.

Free ticket with donations accepted at the door in support of the church and jam.
