Barbara Golden, Ed.D., M.A., Teachers College, Columbia University, has been a pianist since early childhood and a music educator since 1972. She enjoyed teaching public school K – 12 music and began her years as a college music professor in 1994. She taught at Moravian College, Muhlenberg, Temple and University of the Arts. Her specialties include music education, accompanying, music theory, conducting, world music, relating art to music, drumming circles and improvisation. Besides studying piano she was trained in Dalcroze in NYC and studied the Orff, Kodaly and Suzuki methods as well. While doing her Masters and Doctoral work at Teachers College, she studied with Robert Pace to create group piano lessons. She has been music director and/or accompanist for shows and continues to perform in the Philadelphia area.
