David Auerbach is a former student of Settlement Music School and joined the School’s faculty in 2022. He graduated from Temple University with a degree in Jazz Drums. Dave had the privilege to study under world-renowned Jazz drummers such as Byron Landham, Justin Faulkner, and Steve Fidyk. In addition, he studied mallet percussion with Tony Miceli. Dave has performed with Temple University students, faculty, and Philly musicians active on the scene today. Other than Jazz, Dave has been active since 2018 as a pit percussionist with different theater groups such as the 11th Hour Theater Company and universities like Neumann University. Though Dave studied the performing arts, he also comes from a family of teachers and educators.
