Jacquelyn began her viola studies 25 years ago in a thriving school orchestra program, and grew up playing in youth orchestras and chamber groups. She developed a love for playing music with peers, and it’s her passion to bring this opportunity for musical connection to young people. Jacquelyn is an Ithaca College music school graduate, where she studied viola with Debra Moree, as well as Suzuki violin pedagogy.

Before moving to Philadelphia, Jacquelyn maintained a successful violin studio for over 10 years in Poughkeepsie, NY and taught for the Stringendo Orchestra School. As an experienced strings educator, Jacquelyn is skilled in teaching a wide range of ages and abilities using well-studied pedagogy, as well as creative approaches to meet each student where they are. She especially enjoys starting beginner students.

Jacquelyn has an extensive background in orchestral playing and chamber music, and also enjoys playing and recording with folk and indie rock musicians.
