Jonathan studied classical piano with Steven Heyman as a scholarship student at Syracuse University where he received his Bachelor of Music degree in Piano Performance and Music Business. He also studied classical piano with Rorianne Schrade at Temple University Prep, and jazz piano with Ben Paterson. Jonathan was a member of critically acclaimed jam band Blind Man’s Sun, and of LA pop group, Balance. He has shared stages with or performed for Brian McKnight, Steven Schwartz, Kara Diaguardi, Michael Bolton, Sherry Kinnison, The Roots, Pharcyde, Jon Scolfield, Los Lobos, The Samples, DJ Shadow and many more. In Los Angeles he served on the faculty of AMDA College of the Performing Arts and was a regular pianist at Cafe Was, Angel’s Jazz Club, and BOA Sunset. Now based in Philadelphia, Jonathan is a pianist for EBE Talent’s band, Paris, and performs regularly at the Union League, Downtown Club and Crystal Tea Room. He is also Music Director for Holy Innocents St. Paul’s Church and for Grace Episcopal and The Incarnation, both in Philadelphia. In addition to five recordings with Blind Man’s Sun and Balance, Jonathan has two solo albums, Zeppelin Jams (2020) and My Kind of Music (2021).
