Associate Staff

Karen has been a member of the Settlement faculty since 2006. She received her B.S. in music education from Immaculata University, where she studied voice with Eunice Alberts, Dolores Ferraro, and Mara Sindoni. She received an early childhood music certificate from the Kodaly Center of America and has completed level 1 of Orff certification at Villanova University. In addition to teaching Children’s Music Playshop and Children’s Music Workshop classes, she serves as assistant choir director for the Gleeksman-Kohn Children’s Choir, rehearsing the choirs at the Camden and Kardon-Northeast Branches, and leads offsite programming for Settlement at Urban Promise in Camden. She also directs the Angelic Choir at Guardian Angels Regional School in Paulsboro, New Jersey, serves as director of music at First Presbyterian Church in Haddon Heights, NJ, and maintains a private studio in Sewell, NJ.
