Nick Salcido is an electric and upright bassist based in Philadelphia. Well-versed in a variety of genres, he has performed at The Kimmel Center, Brooklyn’s BRIC JazzFest, Center City Jazz Festival, Philadelphia Folk Festival, and has appeared on FOX 29 News, WRTI 90.1, and WXPN 88.5. He also regularly appears at jazz venues such as Time, Heritage, Chris’ Jazz Café, and SOUTH. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Composition from Bates College, and a Master of Music in Jazz Studies from Temple University’s Boyer College of Music and Dance. In addition to Settlement Music School, Nick also serves on the faculty of Friends Select School.
