Yael Tsoran is a New York City born and raised artist who moved to Philadelphia in 2018 to pursue her vision as an art therapist. Yael is known for her stylistic, expressive characters filling up her sketchbook, or 12-foot exterior walls. Her explorative and curious nature makes it easy for her to identify as a mixed media artist ranging from painting and drawing to mural work and photocopy art. Through her open studio art-making process, Yael encourages playful experimentation, inquiry, and the “third hand” approach in her sessions. Before moving to Philadelphia, Yael was employed in Brooklyn, working as an art therapist with adults with severe and persistent mental illness.
