Choir Conductor
Darryl Roland has focused most of his career on training choristers ages 6 through high school to sing on a professional level in children and youth choirs as well as inter-generational choirs. In addition, most of Dr. Roland’s programs have included a significant outreach component that have served diverse communities and attracted local support. In recognition for his work, Dr. Roland received the “Coming Up Taller Award,” our nation’s highest honor bestowed on after-school programs for children and youth, and the “Honorary Fellowship Diploma of the Guild of Church Musicians,” the Guild’s highest award for church musicians.
