Building Skills
for a Lifetime
Learning to play an instrument or sing inspires confidence, encourages persistence and responsibility, and ignites creativity. That’s why we provide instruction for all skill levels, starting with children as young as six months and continuing into adulthood.
Early Childhood
Our youngest students–6 months through 8 years–learn the basics of music through play, movement, and creative expression.
Kids & Teens
Learn your instrument, your way. With individual instruction, group classes, ensembles, and choirs, we have something for every student, ages 9 to 18.
Adults
Adults of all ages are welcome at Settlement. Learn a new instrument or hone your skills with a supportive community of fellow musicians.
“Every time I walk into Settlement Music School, I feel welcomed and at home. Settlement has helped me work towards my goals and given me incredible opportunities to grow as a musician. Getting to work with like-minded, motivated peers and inspiring teachers is an experience I am very thankful for. I feel privileged to be part of the Settlement community.” Vibha Janakiraman, Settlement student
"When I first came Settlement Music School, becoming a professional musician seemed like something from my wildest dreams. But now, six years later, I'm applying to conservatories for a degree in piano performance! Through all the guidance, encouragement, and wonderful opportunities I have received at Settlement, I've gained the confidence to follow my dreams. I can't thank them enough!" Ellie Taylor, Settlement student
