Maggie Phillips

Maggie Phillips (she/her) is an educator, artist, performer, and advocate for the transformative impact of the arts in education. With over a decade of experience as an instructor and coach in academic and artistic spaces, she has presented her research and creative work at conferences and showcases, both nationally and internationally. She is also a certified educator in trauma-informed practices through the Stockton Rush Bartol Foundation in Philadelphia.

Maggie serves as the National Program Director of ArtistYear, an AmeriCorps program providing creative learning opportunities for K-12 students across eight states. In this role, she leads the strategic development and management of ArtistYear’s programming and training, cultivating bold, reflective, and collaborative leaders in teaching artistry and education. In addition to her role with ArtistYear, Maggie is an active performer with a practice rooted in post-modern performance and circus aerials. Her creative work emphasizes experimentation, embodied storytelling, and joy.
