Chief Advancement Officer

Amelia joined Settlement in January 2011. In her time at Settlement, she has held true to the founding mission of unlimited financial aid for all by fundraising up to 50% of the School’s annual revenue on an annual basis, dramatically increasing and diversifying fundraising sources, leading a successful capital campaign (21% ahead of goal), guiding building expansions and renovations, and enabling the growth of several vital programs focused on diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging that have expanded the School’s programming and reputation.

Amelia has more than 30 years of fundraising and programming experience, primarily in the Philadelphia region. Other roles have included Director of Advancement at the Urban Affairs Coalition, Vice President of Programs at the Arts & Business Council of Greater Philadelphia, Development Director at the Annenberg Center for Performing Arts of the University of Pennsylvania, and roles in programming at Yale University and the University of Chicago, her alma mater.
