Dr. Judith Hill Bose

Dr. Judith Hill Bose, former Dean of the Conservatory at Longy School of Music of Bard College, is a soprano and an independent arts education consultant specializing in the areas of teaching artist development and music as a healing art. Judy remains a faculty member at Longy and has served as faculty for the Peabody Institute of Johns Hopkins University and the Global Leaders Program. She has been the Creative Education Director of the Vermont Community Engagement Lab (CEL) and has worked with WolfBrown arts research firm. Judy previously served as the Director of Teacher Education and Educational Initiatives at Longy, where she helped to develop an innovative Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT) Music degree program and led Longy’s Teaching Artist Program.  In New York, she was a master music teaching artist at the Lincoln Center Institute and the New York Philharmonic for more than a decade, and she has worked with numerous schools and cultural organizations both nationally and internationally. Judy is an active singer in the Boston area, and her degrees are from the City University of New York (CUNY) Graduate Center (PhD), the New England Conservatory of Music (MM), and Duke University (BA).
