Settlement has fostered a life in the arts 

Saaya was a Settlement student for most of her life – starting in the Kaleidoscope preschool program, studying piano for more than 12 years with Lois DiDomenico, and studying ballet with Kaye Fernandez. Saaya is a National Merit Commended Scholar and member of the National Honor Society and Spanish National Honor Society. She is also a recipient of the Union League’s Good Citizenship Award. After graduating from Julia Reynolds Masterman in June 2017, Saaya went on to attend Yale University and has continued her musical studies there. She says, “Everything that I’ve learned here at Settlement is something I want to take with me throughout life.”
