ECE Assistant Teacher

Philadelphia native Alexis Stevenson began her career in Early Childhood Education when her daughter was three years old. She started as a parent volunteer in her daughter’s classroom. She would help with breakfast and read stories to the children. Volunteering lead to an offer of employment. Through her position, Alexis was able to gain a wealth of knowledge on child development in the early stages. In 2012, Alexis enrolled at Eastern University in the Accelerated Degree program for adult learners. In 2015, Alexis graduated from Eastern University with her Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education. After graduating, Alexis worked in a Pre-K counts program. In 2018, Alexis decided it was time to further her education and enrolled at Eastern University once again to obtain her Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood education.
