Ardian Cani graduated from Academy of The Arts of Tirana, Albania, in 1975 with a University Diploma in violin performance. His teachers were Pieter Gaci and Eno Koco. Ardian played for Symphony Orchestra of National Theatre of Opera of Albania for four years. Then he taught violin and viola at “Onufri” magnet music school (K-12) and performed as a violin soloist and concertmaster of the Elbasan city symphony orchestra. He was the founder of the chamber orchestra “Albanian Inspiration” and acted as a conductor and soloist of this orchestra in Albania and other European countries. In 2001 Ardian and his family moved to Philadelphia. He pursued his music studies and graduated from Eastern University at St. David’s, Pensylvania in 2005 with a bachelor’s degree in music education and a master’s equivalency degree. His mentor was Dr. Bryan Edgett. In 2007 Ardian was certified by the Pennsylvania Board of Education and holds a license to teach music K-12 in PA. Since 2002 Ardian has worked as a full-time string teacher for the School District of Philadelphia, and since 2001 he has taught violin at Settlement Music School.
