Violinist/violist Daniel Elyar has been performing and teaching throughout the Delaware Valley region for ten years. After completing his Master’s in Baroque Performance Practice at the Royal Conservatory in the Hague, he relocated to Philadelphia and began teaching in the area and, following that, at Settlement Music School. He specializes in the Suzuki Method training and early aged instruction, but has really enjoyed the variety of other ages and backgrounds of students that Settlement naturally offers. Daniel Elyar has been at Settlement since 2003 and enjoys the challenge of teaching a full schedule there as well as actively performing and recording in Baroque music ensembles in NYC and up and down the East Coast.
