Emily Roane is a percussion and steel pan performer who moved to Philadelphia in 2018. She earned a Bachelor of Music in Performance from the University of Iowa, and a Master of Music in Performance from the University of Minnesota Duluth. Major teachers include Dan Moore, James Dreier, and Gene Koshinski. Emily was selected as a finalist for the 2015 Hit Like A Girl drum set competition. She currently performs with the Philadelphia Pan Stars and Plenty Pepper Steel Band and is an active freelancer on drum set, hand percussion, steel pan, vibraphone, marimba, and basically any instrument you can play with sticks!
