Director, Music Education Pathways

Evan Cannon, Music Education Pathways Program Director, joined the joined the Settlement Music school in 2020.  Evan is a graduate of the Manhattan School of Music, majoring in Double Bass Performance, and has incredible experience as a performer, music educator, and arts administrator helping to combat inequity both on stage and in our education system. Prior to joining PMAY, Evan served as the Manager of Inspired Child in Washington, DC, a nonprofit focused on education equity through arts integration in early childhood. As a musician, Evan has performed with the National Symphony, OSEM, the Bahamas National Orchestra, is a founding member of the St. George Music Festival, and currently serves as the Principal Bassist of Ensemble Du Monde.
