Guy West has been performing classical and flamenco guitar for over twenty-five years and has been teaching for over twenty years. His instruction primarily focuses on classical and flamenco styles and he enjoys teaching beginning to advanced students anything from Bach to bulerias.

After receiving his Bachelor’s degree in Guitar Performance from Xavier University of Louisiana, Guy went on to obtain his Masters under Celin Romero from San Diego State University. It was during this time that he had the incredible opportunity to receive a private lesson with the legendary Maestro, Celedonio Romero. Masterclasses he has participated in include Pepe Romero, Jorge Morel and Adam Holzman. Guy has also studied flamenco guitar with Paco Sevilla and has researched the topic extensively.

Guy has been teaching at Settlement Music School since 2003 and currently performs as a soloist and flamenco accompanist.
