A native of North-Central Pennsylvania, Katherine Mallon-Day is an active performer in the Philadelphia area. She performs with the Opera Philadelphia chorus and the Philadelphia Singers Chorale, and is the alto soloist at St. Peter’s Church in the Great Valley. A singing actor as well, Katherine has performed with the Arden Theatre Company, the Media Theatre for the Performing Arts, the People’s Light and Theatre Company, Gretna Theatre, and the Lost Colony in North Carolina. She has been featured locally in cabaret and solo recitals. She is a graduate of University of Pennsylvania and Temple University, where she received Master of Music degrees in Vocal Performance and Musicology. Katherine has been a member of the Voice Faculty of Settlement Music School since 1987. Kate shares her life with husband Rich, and her favorite pastime (other than making music!) is hiking with family, friends and her dogs, Willow and Merlin.
