Margarita Genova has been a member of Settlement Music School’s faculty since 2019. She earned a Master’s of Music in piano from the Academy of Music. Her major teachers include A. Kantardjiev, K. Fileva and Dimo Dimov, professor at the National Academy of Music in Sofia, Bulgaria. Margarita has performed as a soloist with Orpheus Orchestra and R. Christov, conductor in 1992 performing Haydn’s Keyboard Concerto in D Major, J. S. Bach’s Keyboard Concerto No.1 in D Minorin 1993, and Gershwin’s Rhapsody in Blue in 1996. In 1997, Margarita came to the US to make an arrangement of the jazz opera Vanqui by L. Burrs for voice and piano. The premiere in 1999 in Columbus, OH featured Aretha Franklin.
