Dr. Miles Cingolani is a percussionist, drummer, and marching percussionist based in Philadelphia, PA. He attended Stony Brook University for his Doctor of Musical Arts degree. He has studied with Professors Eduardo Leandro, Casey Cangelosi, Aaron Trumbore, Dr. John W. Parks IV, Professor Matthew Nichols, and Dr. Benjamin Charles.

He is the Upper Darby Indoor Percussion Ensemble Coordinator and taught the front ensemble at Upper Darby High School this past season, where the band earned USBands 5A State and National Championship Titles, as well as, first place percussion. He is also the drill writer for The Spirit of Stony Brook Marching Band.

He is passionate about contemporary classical music, being a founding member of the Polymorphia New Music ensemble at Florida State University. As well as participating in new music festivals at FSU and JMU. He was also a teaching assistant for Stony Brook University’s Contemporary Chamber Players, where he performed works by Reich, Manoury, Xenakis, as well as student works and world premieres.
