Min Ji Cho was born in Korea, and began her piano studies at the age of seven. She holds a Bachelor of Music and a Master of Piano Performance from Yeungnam University, Korea. Min Ji holds a Master of Piano Performance degree from the University of Missouri-Kansas City, where she studied with Ruth Anne Rich and Rechard Cass. Currently Min Ji is working on completing her Master of Collaborative Piano degree from KU where she studied with Robert Koenig.

For over 30 years Min Ji has taught students of all ages and levels. Her teaching experience began in college and teaching piano lessons to high school students who were composition majors and needed to prepare for entering college. She came to the United States in 1994 to pursue further studies in piano performance. Min Ji has vast teaching experience and loves interacting with students of all levels and ages. She has worked as an accompanist for 20 years.

Min Ji Cho believes in getting to know her students and adapting lessons according to their unique learning styles and goals. She doesn’t use a prescribed “system” but rather tailor each student’s curriculum to them individually. She believes that learning the piano can be a powerful experience that will enhance their life in many ways, and she enjoys helping her students learn some of the life lessons and critical skills that come along with mastering the ins and outs of the instrument.

In her free time Min Ji enjoys traveling, baking, reading, and spending time with friends.
