Nia has been a part of the educational field for over 10 years. She attended Chestnut Hill College to pursue a bachelor’s degree in psychology and she took courses geared toward children’s psychology, development, assessment (educational and psychological) and education. She also acquired master level college credits in Early Childhood Education. During her years of employment, she had the opportunity to teach children of varying abilities spanning from atypical development to the autism spectrum. She taught ages three months to school-age, primarily working with the preschool/pre-K children. She worked closely with therapeutic staff of special needs children to implement and expand the goals they had set through her observations. She used the therapeutic staff’s goals to enhance her lesson plans. Working with children is truly her passion and vocation in life.
