Suhae Lee was born in South Korea, and started to play the violin at the age of six. During her study in Busan High School of Arts, she moved to Russia and studied at the St. Petersburg Conservatory where she received her Master of Music and Doctor of Musical Arts degrees under professor Bladimir Yu. Ovcharek. Upon graduation, she moved to Europe and studied further under Ilya Grubert. After winning the Grand Prix Award in the 2002 IBLA Grand Prize in Italy, she was invited to Carnegie Hall. As a soloist, she performed with the Los Angeles Youth Orchestra (Walt Disney Concert Hall), Moscow Symphony Orchestra, St. Petersburg Philharmonic Orchestra, St. Petersburg Capella Symphony Orchestra, TPK Symphony Orchestra, St. Petersburg State Conservatory Symphony Orchestra, Hermitage State Orchestra, KBS Orchestra, Korea Philharmonic Orchestra, Busan Symphony Orchestra and Romania Ploiesti Orchestra.
