After completing a Bachelor of Music degree in Flute Performance at Chapman University, mezzo-soprano Susan Rheingans earned a Master of Music degree in Vocal Performance from California State University Los Angeles. She performed extensively across the United States, Europe and the Orient before settling in Pennsylvania and pursuing a teaching career and continuing to perform on the east coast. Susan emphasizes strong vocal technique and development of musical and interpretive skills in her studio, and her students perform in a number of different styles, including classical and musical theater. Her high school age students are frequently awarded scholarships and win in competition, participate in high school apprentice programs, are chosen for City, District, Regional and State honor choirs, and perform leading roles in school musicals. Pre-professional students have been accepted into major conservatory and university vocal programs, and adult students participate in a number of community musical activities.
