Executive Director of Early Childhood Programming

Tarrell Davis, Settlement’s Executive Director of Early Childhood Programming, has directed Kaleidoscope since 2008, and was its head teacher from 1997 to 2000. Tarrell holds a BS in Child Development and Family Relations from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and a MA in Education from Cabrini College. Prior to Settlement, Tarrell served as a Center Director for the Montgomery Early Learning Centers in West Philadelphia.

Under Tarrell’s leadership, Kaleidoscope consistently receives a 4-STAR (highest) rating from the Keystone STARS program and is one of only 5% of Pre-K programs accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children. She is a highly sought-after speaker on Early Childhood Education and the arts, and she collaborated with PBS Kids National to develop an arts-integrated framework for children’s programming. This framework was used to develop the extremely popular television shows Peppa Pig, Albie’s Elevator, and Pinkalicious & Peterific.
