Vanessa Putnam is a graduate of James Madison University where she received her Masters of Music in Harp Performance. She also earned her Bachelors of Music degree in Harp Performance from Florida State University. Her teachers include Dr. Anastasia Pike, Professor Mary Roman, Dr. Sue Carole DeVale, Dr. Jaclyn Wappel, and Mrs. Pamela Irwin. In her professional career she freelances with several orchestras, operas, and works with her percussion and harp duo playing contemporary works. She also performs for private weddings and events, creates harp ensemble arrangements, and teaches!
