Seventeen-year-old Chase Chestnut has been a dedicated Settlement student since 2019. He is a student at Parkway Northwest High School, located just minutes from the Benoliel-Germantown Branch where Chase currently studies guitar with Connor O’Neill.

In addition to developing his skills on the guitar and deepening his understanding of music theory and harmony, Chase has begun exploring songwriting. At a recent Performance Hour, Chase took an exciting step in his musical journey by performing an original composition, “November Cairn,” for the very first time. He shared the stage with Germantown Branch Director Micah Jones, making the occasion even more memorable.

We’re excited to watch Chase continue to grow as a musician and composer this year, and we look forward to hearing more of his original music in the future!
