What is a community music school?
Unlike a conservatory or private studio, a community music school is open to everyone at any age. There are no auditions or barriers to entry. Our focus is on accessibility and excellence, not exclusivity. Settlement is one of the only community music schools in the country to offer truly unlimited financial assistance, meaning no child is ever turned away because of cost.

Settlement Music School has always been about more than just music lessons – and a special part of that home for the last 35 years has been for our youngest learners attending our award-winning and nationally recognized Kaleidoscope Arts-Integrated Early Childhood Program.
Tarrell Davis, Executive Director of Early Childhood Programming, wanted to take this to the next level by increasing access to Kaleidoscope methods in an online format so that any child, anywhere, could benefit. That vision transformed into Kaleidoscope Wants Everyone Succeeding Together, or KWEST.
If you are spending time with young learners this summer, a KWEST subscription is a great way to keep them engaged. Research based, easy to use, arts integrated activities will make the summer both fun and educational.
