Philadelphia’s Jazz Greats at Settlement Music School
On April 15th, in the auditorium of the Kardon-Northeast Branch, Philly Celebrates Jazz and the Office of Arts, Culture and the Creative Economy presents Philadelphia’s Jazz Greats at Settlement Music School. The event, which will be held from 1:30-3:30pm, will feature a concert by Settlement Music School Jazz faculty and vibraphonist Tony Miceli and his trio. The event is free, and will kick off with a pre-concert workshop with the artists. Come to the Kardon-Northeast Branch and celebrate Jazz Appreciation Month with us!

PMAY Artists’ Initiative, in collaboration with WRTI-FM is delighted to present tubist and author, Dr. Richard Antoine White, and his brother, rapper William White, in Philadelphia for a performance and talk at our Mary Louise Curtis Branch.
PMAY Cello Masterclass with Sheku Kanneh-Mason
Join internationally renowned cellist Sheku Kanneh-Mason as he works with five of our PMAY Cellists. The class is free and open to the public and will be held at Mary Louise Curtis Branch of Settlement Music School on Saturday, December 10 from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

JACK Quartet Masterclass
A chance for ensembles to perform for and receive feedback from the JACK Quartet. Musical America’s 2018 “Ensemble of the Year”, one of WQXR’s “19 for 19 Artists to Watch”, and recipients of an Avery Fisher Career Grant, JACK has been heralded by the Washington Post who called them, “the go-to quartet for contemporary music, tying impeccable musicianship to intellectual ferocity and a take-no-prisoners sense of commitment.”
