Student Spotlight: Juniper Jesson
Settlement student Juniper Jesson is a truly versatile musician, studying voice with Kate Mallon-Day, piano with Harue Sato, and organ and harpsichord with Kathleen Scheide. This fall, she added yet another musical adventure to her schedule by joining a chamber group led by Jean Shook at the Germantown Branch!
Juniper’s hard work and passion have earned her a remarkable honor – she has been selected to perform with the Philadelphia Girls Choir in the Philadelphia Orchestra’s performances of Carmina Burana under the direction of Yannick Nézet-Séguin on October 22, 23, 24, and 25. Chosen as one of just 40 singers from a pool of more than 500 choir members, Juniper’s achievement is a testament to her dedication and enthusiasm for music.
Congratulations, Juniper, on this exciting accomplishment! We can’t wait to see where your musical journey takes you next.
