Make your own music! Students from 5th-8th grade can now join our Music Technology course and learn how to use digital instruments and navigate music production software to record, mix, and edit music. Students will primarily work with the free program SoundTrap to create music using real and virtual instruments (MIDI), apply audio effects, practice mixing tracks, and more. The class will be project based, giving students hands-on experience using the software in a guided format. There will not be a focus on any particular genre – Students will be given the knowledge to create the music they want to make. Whether it’s a practice track to help a student become better on their instrument, a backing track for an aspiring singer/songwriter, a completely original composition, or a budding filmmaker creating a score for a movie.
Youth Musicianship (Saturdays, 10:30-11:30 p.m., January 10, 2026-March 14, 2026)
