We are dedicated to bringing the highest quality in-person and virtual arts education to the neighborhoods we serve. That’s why we partner with local organizations to expand our reach beyond Settlement’s walls and enrich our offerings in the community.
Community Partnerships
Our goal is to create the program that best supports your goals and vision. Ensuring expertly tailored in-person and/or virtual programs for our partners, Settlement’s administrators are adept and experienced at assessing our partners’ needs and then designing programs in collaboration with key organizational stakeholders.
Music Education Pathways
Our branches connect in-person and virtually with neighborhood schools in partnership with the School District of Philadelphia to enhance opportunities for students in band, orchestra, and choir.
Philadelphia Music Alliance for Youth (PMAY) Artists’ Initiative
The Philadelphia Music Alliance for Youth (PMAY) Artists’ Initiative is a project that supports 5th-12th grade students from underrepresented communities and low-income households to pursue their dream of becoming a professional classical musician.
Chamber Music at Philadelphia Youth Orchestra Music Institute
Bringing together two of Philadelphia’s most respected music education institutions, this collaboration unites the Philadelphia Youth Orchestra Music Institute’s (PYOMI) renowned ensemble training with Settlement Music School’s nationally recognized chamber music expertise.
Shared Professional Development Day
Philadelphia Music Education Collaborative invites you to join us for Shared Professional Development Days. These free events feature interactive sessions designed for Philadelphia region arts educators.

Teacher Training Institute for the Arts
We provide teachers and early childhood professionals with supplemental training to deliver quality arts instruction to children ages 3-10.
