Fall 2022 COVID-19 Update

Dear Settlement Music School Community,

We hope that you and your family are ready to start the year with us!

Whether you have been participating in person, virtually, or via a hybrid schedule with us, it has been a pleasure having you as a member of our special creative community. Together, we filled another year with unforgettable learning, and we are so excited to start another year with you and your family! If you paused your lessons, we look forward to seeing you again to continue your artistic journey. If you are hoping to join us for the first time, welcome to your new creative home! Here at Settlement, our students are the stars. We will always be here to assist and inspire in any way we can.

Our number one priority continues to be keeping our Settlement community safe. Please keep these key points in mind as we move into this new year together.

  • All Settlement spaces, including lobbies, hallways, studios, classrooms, rehearsal rooms, and offices, are now mask-optional spaces.
  • Hand sanitizing stations and hand washing signage will remain in all of our buildings as our facilities team continues to maintain clean and healthy buildings. It is critical that we continue to follow all other health and safety measures such as:
      • Stay home if you are sick.
      • If you test positive for COVID-19 (Everyone, regardless of vaccination status):
        • Stay home for five days.
        • If you have no symptoms or your symptoms are resolving after five days, you may enter our buildings.
        • Continue to wear a mask around others for five additional days.
        • If you have a fever, continue to stay home until your fever resolves.
      • If you were exposed to someone with COVID-19 (Everyone, regardless of vaccination status):
        • Wear a mask around others for 10 days.
        • Testing on day five is strongly encouraged.
        • If you develop symptoms, get a test, and stay home.
        • Get tested if you are showing COVID-like symptoms.
  • You can find a vaccination site near you at vaccines.gov.
  • In the event of a sharp increase in COVID-19 cases in our region, we may return to temporary, mandatory mask wearing as an extra precaution in minimizing the risk of COVID-19 within our buildings.
  • Settlement’s COVID-19 policies and procedures can be found on our website.

Thank you for your continued support and cooperation throughout the pandemic in keeping safe, healthy spaces for us all. We look forward to seeing more of your smiles in our studios, classrooms, and rehearsal spaces!

Please stay well,

Helen Eaton
