Donor Story
The Settlement Impact
Nancy Halpern treasured her decades of Wednesday nights at Settlement Music School’s Mary Louise Curtis Branch singing alongside community singers in the Mendelssohn Club of Philadelphia . When it came time to consider the legacy she wanted to leave behind, she looked to Settlement to honor the role music has played in her life. “Music became a part of my life when I was young, and it built me, as a performer and as an audience member. Settlement Music School is a pure educational experience that children can have access to, and where there are so many opportunities. That is a wonderful thing, and it should always be supported. “
