Trumpet

The smallest and highest brass instrument.
Because of its ability to spread its sound across great distances, history’s first trumpets were used in the military to relay messages to the troops. The modern day trumpet has more peaceful applications as an integral member of the symphony orchestra and most jazz ensembles.
Robby Cruz explains clave and how it has influenced jazz in this episode of Settlement 101.
